1. Log in to D2L
2. Under the Respondus Widget, Copy and Paste the Licensing Information (Institution Name, Local Contact, and Installation Password)
3. Click the Blue Respondus 4.0 Beta Link (or StudyMate)
4. Click Save
5. Double click the Setup File
6. Click Next
7. Choose I accept the terms of the license agreement
8. Click Next
9. Click Next
10. Click Next
11. Click Install
12. Click Finish

1. Double click the Respondus 4.0 Campus Wide Icon
2. Copy and Paste the Licensing information into the correct spots
3. Click License
4. Set Personality to Desire2Learn

1. On the Start Tab-
   a. Open Previous Respondus Files
   b. Create New Respondus Files
   c. Exam Wizard
   d. Import Questions from a Text File (MUST BE IN STANDARD FORMAT FOR IMPORT- see help guide)
   e. Archive Wizard

1. On the Edit Tab-
   a. Add Questions (T/F, Multiple Choice, Matching...)
   b. Edit or Delete Questions
      i. Click Blue Question Title, and then Click Modify to Edit

1. On the Setting Tab-
   a. Settings the Same as Within D2L- Set Accordingly
   b. Making Random Sections
      i. Click Random Sections
      ii. Click Random Sections
      iii. Select the Radial Bubble Next to Add New Set
      iv. Add the First and Last Question Numbers for that Set in the Appropriate Boxes
      v. Enter the Number of Questions to be Selected or Select All
      vi. Enter the Point Value for Each Question
      vii. Click Add New Set
      viii. Click Ok When Done Making Random Sections

1. Preview and Publish Tab-
   a. Preview the File to Check for Errors
   b. Publish
      i. Choose the Correct Type of Publish (Publish to Single Course)
      ii. From the Desire2Learn Server Drop Down Menu, Choose Add New Server
      iii. Choose No, I Want to Enter the Server Settings Manually and Click Next.
      iv. Skip Down to the Server Domain. Enter d2l.sdbor.edu
      v. In the Server Port box, Enter 443 and Check the Box Next to Secure Server
      vi. Enter a Description for the Server (D2L)
      vii. Enter D2L Username and Password (Check Box to Remember if on Own Computer)
      viii. Click Ok and Click Next
      ix. On Step Number One, Choose Course From Dropdown Menu
      x. Create New Quiz and Check Boxes Next to Apply Settings and Apply Random Sections
      xi. Click Next
      xii. Click Finish
      xiii. Check D2L to Ensure that Everything is Correct
   c. Print Options
      i. Can Print Exam, Exam with Answer Key, Answer Key Only

1. Retrieval Tab-
   a. Click Retrieve Questions
   b. Choose Correct Server from Drop Down Menu
   c. click Next
   d. Enter D2L Credentials if Prompted
   e. Choose the Course You Want to Retrieve Questions From
   f. Enter a New File Name for the Questions
   g. Click Next
   h. Click Finish
   i. Click Yes to Save Changes
